Urgent appointments for today or tomorrow

We offer 'On the Day' appointments that are bookable on the day, for urgent matters. You will be asked for a brief description of your problem, so that the reception staff can signpost you correctly, and so that the GP can assess the priority with which you need to be seen.

If the doctor needs to see you in person or you would prefer a face-to-face appointment, we will invite you to come in.

Ways to book

  1. Telephone: 01443 203414

Sickness certificates (fit notes)

You must give your employer a doctor's 'fit note' (sometimes called a 'sick note') if you've been ill for more than 7 days in a row and have taken sick leave. This includes non-working days, such as weekends and bank holidays.

Home visits

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible.

In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception on 01443 203414 before 10am.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice.

Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.

Change or cancel an appointment

Please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer your appointment to someone else.

To cancel your appointment:

  1. Phone us on 01443 203414
  2. Reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
